Almost every Zimbabwean abroad has a version of the same story. Money sent home for a stand, a house or a kombi, and then the delays, the excuses and the photos that never quite arrive. Often the problem isn't the investment. It's that someone else has to hold it for you.

Skip the Uncle exists to show a different route: owning shares on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange and the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange, registered in your own name and visible from your own phone, wherever you live.

Who writes it

The site is written by a Zimbabwean living in the diaspora with almost ten years of experience researching and reviewing online platforms. They hold a C-Trade account and use it, so the walkthroughs here come from doing it, not from press releases.

What we promise

  • We test what we review. Where we hold an account, we say so.
  • Every fact is dated. Fees and rules show the day we last checked them.
  • We never tell you what to buy. We explain how it works, and you decide.
  • We never hold your money. We are not a broker and never will be.
